WALT: Locate and summarise ideas within a range of texts.
Task Description: This is my ninth reading and what we are learning about is about the different article but is about the games Argentina beat All Blacks. It talk's about The defeat drops New Zealand to third in the world rankings, behind South Africa and England, the lowest they have been since 2003.
WALT: We are learning to use our senses to create imagery in our writing.
Task Description: For this week's writing we are learning how to put our 5 senses in writing. To be honest I really like this type of writing. But what we had to do was to use your senses to help us understand what is happening in the scene and for each writing it had to be at least 50 words for each writing.
Task Description: This is my fifth reading task and this article is about the worlds how the 3 year old boy won the jumping championship and how there was lot's of people in the championship. But how he won is by wining the judges hearts.
Task Description: This is my second post for reading. This article from kiwi kids news are all about how QLD won the Origin opener and NSW were wining in the start 10 - 0. But then QLD came in the second half and made it 18 - 14 and that's how they won.
Learning
Why do we go to school to learn?. Learning is about learning about one thing and then you try to get better at it. There are lots of things to learn about, But what we mainly learn about in school is maths, reading and writing.
Some People like to read. But it's not my interest. But what I really like to do is maths and writing. For example reading, for me reading is not my interest but we still try my best at it, and you too.
For me I really like to write. But what I really like to write is explanation writing because I feel that I am confident at writing these types of writing. For example I used to hate writing because I wasn’t good at it but then I tried and tried.
To me most people I know prefer to learn math over reading and writing. But for me one reason why I like maths is because somethings i'm good at and that I like but somethings i’m not quite sure too. For Example some people are good at things and some people are good at other things. We all don’t need to be good at all things. We can be good at things we are like or enjoy.
So there are some things you can learn about and learn more about but these things.
Task Description: This weeks for reading is all about renewable energy and we are learning what the problems with this is and what solutions we could use to help it. Also we have listed down what we have learnt from the video and highlight the important phrases and words.
My Goals
1.Practice more reading and writing.
2.learn more about different types of writing.
3.I want to learn to spell new words and to try and practice new words.
Task Description: For this week for literacy we had to write our goals on a google doc. But it was also for our reading groups. What we had to do was we had to write 3 goals or 3 things that we want to improve on. What I really what to improve on is learning to spell new words and to try and practice new words.
