Descriptive Writing

WALT: Describe all the things in a picture.
Task Description: Today for writing we were learning about how to describe the picture. But this is helping us to use more adjective word in our writing. But over all this was really easy to do. But I would really like to do this so other time too.

What is Measurements?

WALT: Convert between metric units.
Task Description: Today's math task was all about measurement but also I learnt abut length. the weight of the object. The thing I had to use during this task was kg, ml, g, mm, cm, m and L. So had to answer the questions. But this task was a but different to the things we have been learning this week and late's week.

WALT: ask and answer questions about what things are.
Task Description: Today for Te Reo Maori we were learning about 6 new Maori words. But the words we learnt was Moe, Takaro, Horoi, Tuhituhi, Panui and Mahi. But in English the word were Sleep, Play, Shower, Write, Read and Work.

Task Description: Today's reading task is all about how we think what are the who are the characters, where are the or where does it went place setting, was is the problem and what did they do the resolution. But what I think of this reading task is that we should do these type of things more often.

Task Description: For late week we were learning about the Awarua The Taniwha Of Porirua the book and birds. But what I had to do for this task was I had to answer all the questions. 

Learning How To Use Percentages And Decimals And Fractions

Task Description: For this weeks math work we were learning about percentages and decimals and fractions. But learning percentages and decimals and fractions are getting a bit easy for me to learn. But the question was a bit easy, this was easy then the other work problem because that was me and my friend first time learning about percentages and decimals and fractions. But now it is very easy for me to work it out.

Task Description: A few weeks ago what I have been learning about was myth and legends. We learnt about 6 myth and we have been going around different class room and learnt about different myth. But what I had to do was write 4 interesting facts about that myth or legend.

Task Description: This is the second part of the tasks my mum told me to do. So this is the animal I learnt about. This animal had lots of interesting  and cool things you should know too. I also learnt the agama lizards fight other lizards just so they can be with the female. 

Facts About Albania

Task Description:  Today for my home work my mum give me a task to do. Her task for me and my brother was to find a place, animal or person to learn about that start with the letter A. So I wanted to learn about someway different in the world. So the place I was learning about was Albania. I learnt so many fact about the country and it is a very beautiful place in Europe.

    

Disrespectful Son Rejects Mom, Lives to Regret It

Task Description: For my home work my mum give me the video called Disrespectful Son Rejects Mom, Lives to Regret It. But what I learnt from this was to always a be grateful for was I have and to always appreciate your family's and friends. We could all learn from this and learn more about these type of thing in school and other places.     

Time For Decimals

Task Description: For Math this week we are learning about decimals. I learnt that decimals are also use for money, time, weight, lengths and many more other thing. But learnt how to add and subtract. What we had to do was add and subtract the decimals and also fill in the empty spaces to get the answer. Some tips on how to learn decimal is by looking at it like money and it maybe can help you too.

Percentages And Decimals And Fractions

Task Description: For Math we were learning about percentages, decimals and fractions and how it is almost the same thing but different ways of doing it and how to work it out. So what we had to do was we had to see in which subject, did Paige get the highest mark? and we had to solved the question by using only percentages, decimals and fractions.

Reflections Of Camp

Task Description: For today's blog post we had to do a reflections of camp. What we had to do was we had to say what we would want to keep, stop, add or why. Meaning keep what you want to keep or what you want to stop and what you want to add and why do we do these kind of things.

Year 8 Camp

What is Cross games??
My group was Coromandel, and the other groups were called Kauri, Kauaeranga and Thames. The Camp was all about leadership and team work. What we did at camp was we played cross games. Cross games were the games that we played with the owners and the people who work there. The games we played were all about working as a team and helping each other. The games we played were tag and we had to take the other groups tag of them and we had to see how many tags we got. The there games we played was tug of war Coromandel and Kauri boys vs  Kauaeranga and Thames boy and  Coromandel and Kauri girlsvs  Kauaeranga and Thames girls too. But the Coromandel and Kauri boy won and the Kauaeranga and Thames girls won.

Introduction To DECIMALS

WALT: understand decimals.
Task Description: For maths we were learning about decimals. We had to answer all the questions and do what it told use to do. But what do was we had to write the number from what it said in words. and in money.
